Barebone began with a simple belief: the care we put into choosing what we eat and bring into our homes should extend to what we use on our hair and scalp.
We began looking more closely at everyday hair care, asking where ingredients came from and what purpose they served. That curiosity became the foundation of Barebone.

Today, we make oils for the scalp, hair, and beard in small batches in Portland, Oregon. We use certified organic botanicals, cold-pressed plant oils, and steam-distilled essential oils, with each ingredient chosen for its role in the formula.
